Bandai Namco has a brand new trailer for Tekken 8, revealing another playable character. This time it’s Emilie De Rochefort, or Lili. In search of her cat Salt, she ends up facing her longtime rival Asuka. Check it out below.
Lili has no formal training in martial arts. Instead, she is adept at gymnastics and integrates various pirouettes, spins and backward somersaults into her attack. Although overtly flamboyant, it is highly effective thanks to its range and damage. Although some attacks can be slow and side-stepped once the opponent knows her combos, Lili can still be a pest if she remains uncontrolled.
Tekken 8 is set for release in April 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Other characters revealed include Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Ling Xiaoyu, Jack-8, Jun Kazama, Jin Kazama, Lars Alexandersson, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix and Kazuya Mishima. Game director and series producer Katsuhiro Harada also confirmed that there will be cross-platform play and rollback netcode for online play. There is no word yet on a beta, so stay tuned for more details.
