Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators are among the eight teams invited to participate in the tournament Dota 2 PGL Wallachia Season 3. The event, managed by tournament organizer PGL, includes a total of 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $1M.
The third installment of PGL’s Dota 2 tournament series will take place at PGL Studios Romania from March 8-16, 2025. In addition to Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators, Aurora Gaming, Xtreme Gaming, Tundra Esports, Heroic, Team Falcons and Team Spirit have also received direct invitations to compete.
The remaining eight spots will be determined through qualifiers involving four teams from Europe, two from the Americas, one from Southeast Asia and one from China. It should be noted that all eight teams invited to PGL Wallachia Season 3 finished in the top 12 of last year’s Valve end-of-season tournament.
Team Liquid comes into the tournament as the reigning champion of Dota 2 The International. At the last major Dota 2 tournament in 2024, ESL One Bangkok, the organization finished second behind PARIVISION.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 is one of three Dota 2 tournaments that are part of the PGL series throughout 2025. PGL Wallachia Season 4 will begin in April, while PGL Wallachia Season 5 is scheduled for November.
