Robert Irwin, son of legendary zookeeper Steve Irwin, recently went viral for rescuing a snake stuck in a vending machine. Coiled around a row of Coca-Cola bottles, this python may have been looking for a sugar rush, but of course he couldn’t stay there forever.
A python needs a balanced diet of well, anything but Coke, really. Irwin arrived on the scene and, with the help of a vending machine technician, pulled the python out of the machine quite easily. There was not much resistance from the python.
But, as Irwin noted, this is unlikely to be the first time this snake has found itself in a strange situation. The snake’s tail was missing a chunk. An old injury, as assessed by Irwin, meaning that “this bloke clearly has a mind to get himself caught in weird situations.”
