Since the disappointing Shattered Space has Bethesda’s Starfield maintained a low profile. The last major update was in November, in which two new Creations were added and the game reached the milestone of more than 15 million players fourth. But that silence could be broken as early as next week.
According to Odahfield, the leaker who previously made the Creation Club and the release window of Shattered Space leaked, coming next week Starfield News. But it’s “not what you expect.”
There are two possibilities. The first is the revelation of Starborn, the rumors second expansion which should come out this year.
The other possibility is the announcement of a PlayStation 5 release, which is plausible given recent rumors of a Switch 2 version. With Microsoft those games like Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold to PS5 brings, that chance seems increasingly likely.
Perhaps the announcement will coincide with the next State of Play, which is also rumored for next week (possibly on Feb. 14). Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates.
Starfield is currently available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and is part of Game Pass.
