Stardew Valley’s 1.6 Update will be bigger than originally conceived – That’s Gaming

Stardew Valley developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has revealed via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the long-awaited 1.6 update for the game will be larger than originally planned. He also revealed that the update is currently in the bug fixing and polishing phase, indicating that the update is likely close to release.

The update, announced in September 2023, is intended to add a series of new endgame content to the game in the form of new quests. The update will allow players to join Joja, unlocking new endgame quests. Other content in the update includes support for 8-player multiplayer for the PC version of the game, as well as a new major festival and two new mini festivals.

Barone previously stated that the update will include more than 100 new lines of dialogue for various characters in Stardew Valley, and completing billboard quests will give players new types of rewards.

Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update does not yet have a release date, but given Barone’s statement that the update is currently in the polishing and bug-fixing phase, the release date is likely closer than originally expected.
