St. Jude University and INFINITY sign agreement to professionalize the esports industry in Costa Rica

The Universidad Federada San Judas Tadeo and the e-sports club reference in Latin America and founded in Costa Rica, INFINITY Esports, have signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of promoting education and professionalizing the esports and gaming industry in the country.

The alliance seeks to strengthen the knowledge of students in various areas that make up the sector such as sports organization, coverage of live events, marketing, monetization, management, communication, among others.

Among the main initiatives contemplated as part of the agreement stand out:

  • The University will provide quality training to students taking the Esports and Sports Communication specialization.
  • INFINITY will advise the University with its entire team of national and international experts in order to ensure professional training according to industry demand.
  • The INFINITY Gaming Center, the coliseum of Esports in Costa Rica, will be the center of professional practices and internships during the time of the specialization.

From INFINITY and Infinity Gaming Center we work to boost the Esports and gaming industry and this specialization is the answer to what the market currently demands worldwide. As protagonists in the local and Latin American scene, we know the potential of the sector, which, if professionally channeled, is an engine of social and economic development. With this alliance we will collaborate to develop talent and skills that will help the insertion of students in the ecosystem.

The specialization will have two main blocks. The first will include courses on sports organization; innovation in esports coverage and organizational communication. While the second is composed of: marketing for teams and leagues; monetization and sponsorship and sports manager.

The Esports industry reaches some 300 million viewers worldwide and is surpassing traditional sports. Undoubtedly it has a huge growth and a great potential in Costa Rica and the region. That is why we launched the Specialization in Esports and Sports Communication, to offer quality training in the industry. This agreement further strengthens the efforts of both organizations as it unites one of the most important educational centers in the country with one of the most relevant teams in the region and the world so that our students can have the necessary tools to enter this industry that continues to grow.
