Konami has been showing off more and more of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in recent weeks, and the company has now given another look at the remake. In a recently released “Production Hotline” video, the company showed the upcoming remake again, revealed more details and also showed a small piece of the opening.
The opening of Metal Gear Solid 3 is, of course, an incredibly iconic one, and since this is a faithful recreation of the original classic, the opening here will be more than a little familiar to returning fans – except, of course, it looks considerably better. We don’t get to see the actual HALO jump itself in the clip Konami showed, but we do get to see the first few minutes, with Naked Snake in the plane, ready for the Virtuous Mission. Check it out in the video below, which has been timestamped to the relevant part for your convenience.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It has no release date yet, but Konami has confirmed that it is fully playable behind the scenes from start to finish, so hopefully this means it is in the later stages of development. The remake will also be playable at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
