Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones has been given a new release date of Feb. 16, 2024, after numerous delays. Time will tell if there will be another delay, but for now, a new closed beta begins on Dec. 14 at 1 a.m. PT and ends on Dec. 18 at midnight PT for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
You only get six hours of game time, usable during the closed beta period. It only counts if you are in a gaming session, so don’t stay inactive in the gaming world for too long. Participants should receive invitations on their registered Ubisoft Connect ID and can invite up to two friends to participate.
As for content, the closed beta includes Sainte Anne, a pirate’s nest in the Red Isle for making, accessing the warehouse, selling goods, repairing your ship and meeting with other players. You can explore the coast of Africa, the Red Isles and more while meeting different factions. There are also Golden Path Contracts to pursue, although other content such as Side Contracts, Bounty Contracts, World Events and Repeatable Contracts are also available.
Spending six hours in the closed beta yields the Skull and Bones Welcome Firework. You also get the Spoken For Emote by making and sailing a Bedar. Completing a World Event unlocks the Pioneer Set for use in the game. It includes a Sail Color, Hull Color, Sail Pattern, Ship Emblem and Ship Plate.
