Some prominent SHIB influencers shared a video on Saturday, which suggests that Shytoshi Kusama, lead developer of Shiba Inu, has confirmed the launch of Shibarium and that he’will release layer 2 of the blockchain within the next seven days.

Rumors on social media have gotten out of hand thanks to tweets and retweets, but when the SHIB community asked for the source of the announcement, there was none. Indeed, Shytoshi Kusama didn’t post any blogs or confirm the release of Shibarium on Telegram, Discord or other social networks.

But when one of the SHIB ecosystem’s newscasters, SHIBARMY CANADA, accused YourPOP of clickbait and spreading rumors, Shytoshi responded, “S’he is right, you owe him an apology.“

Therefore, the news making the rounds on Twitter that Shibarium will be released in the next seven days is confusing.

According to Coingecko, the price of BONE has risen 8% in the past 24 hours. With a market cap of $371,988,307 and a one-day trading volume up 3.9%, it is one of the top gainers among the largest crypto meme currencies.

At the same time, Shiba Inu’s price remains on the edge as it’was trading at $0.00001322 and is down 0.3% in 24-hour trading. With a market capitalization of $7,248,311,891, it’s the 13th largest crypto-currency by market value.
