SHIB holders break huge record in July amid crypto-currency volatility

While the crypto-currency market is volatile due to unfavorable macroeconomic trends, some meme currencies continue to see steady growth. Over the past month, SHIB holders have reached a new record high in a key metric despite headwinds in the crypto space. This growth comes despite frequent fluctuations in SHIB’s price, which has remained largely unchanged at $0.000011 over the past 30 days.

New SHIB holders are steadily increasing

According to data from CoinMarketCap, the number of new SHIB holders has been steadily increasing in recent weeks. The total number of unique addresses holding SHIBs was less than 1.190 million in early July. This number has risen to about 1.213 million currently, showing significant growth in July. Interestingly, the number of new unique SHIB addresses has increased almost every day since June 29. As of July 25, the current number of SHIB holders is 1,212,692.

During the same period, the price of SHIB reached a low of 0.0000096 and a high of 0.00001297 on July 20. Currently the price of Shiba Inu is $0.00001124, down 3.88% in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. On a weekly basis, the price of the SHIB token has fallen by 8.30%. Recently, it was observed that SHIB has become the largest token held by the top 2,000 ETH whales.

Last week, Philippines-based crypto-currency exchange Coins.ph listed SHIB. This crypto-currency exchange has been operating since 2014 and has 10 million customers. This is a significant development considering that the exchange is regulated by the central bank of the Philippines. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has recognized Coins.ph as a licensed virtual currency exchange, an e-money issuer and a remittance and transfer agent. The exchange says these licenses allow it to offer the purchase and sale of crypto-assets. “This means we can provide simple, safe and secure ways to make digital payments, as well as services to buy and sell crypto-currencies.”

Recent data from WhaleStats shows that SHIB was among the tokens that were popular recently. Similarly, Shiba Inu was among the list of the most purchased tokens by Ethereum’s largest whales.
