Since its launch, the “Scream” franchise has enjoyed a lot of success among fans and, in some places, even among critics. For this reason, the sixth part of this film is about to start filming soon.
Paramount and Spyglass Media have stated that they intend to continue “Scream” and want to start filming the sixth horror sequel this summer.
The franchise was first released in 1996 with the film of the same name, directed by Wes Craven. “Scream” is based on the writings of Sidney Prescott and focuses on the story of the small town of Woodsboro, California, which is under the terror of a serial killer named Ghostface.
The success of “Scream” would give rise to a four-sequel franchise, but also to a series broadcast by MTV (which, admittedly, has little to do with the stories from the original movies).
The new crime, from the recently released film, once again manages to draw the attention of the protagonists Dewey Riley (David Arquette), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Sidney (Neve Campbell), bringing them all back to the position of trying to stop terror.
It should be noted that “Scream”, which is part of “Ready or Not Radio Silence”, has managed to attract the praise of critics, but also those of the public, since January 14, 2022, when it was released.
“Scream 6” will be filmed this year, it remains to be seen when we will be able to see it
Less than a month after it hit theaters, Paramount and Spyglass have announced that “Scream 6” is becoming a certainty. The sequel will also include veterans Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence, and will be based on a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Production is set to begin this summer. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
“We are extremely grateful to the fans around the world who received our film with enthusiasm. We can’t wait for the audience to see what Radio Silence, the writers Jamie & Guy and Project X have in store for them “, said the representatives of the” Scream “production.
