The Russian government said Thursday that it will not recognize the results of any investigation into the alleged sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline unless Russian specialists work on the inquiries.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow will not accept any “pseudo results” of these investigations and has notified the ambassadors of Germany, Denmark and Sweden to Russia of the situation, Russian news agency TASS reported.
“In case the Russian experts do not have access to the actions of the investigation, Moscow will act on the assumption that the aforementioned countries have something to hide or that they are covering up for those responsible for these terrorist acts,” it has stressed.
Nord Stream operator Nord Stream AG said after the events that the damage to three of the pipelines was “unprecedented,” following a gas leak in one of the sections of Nord Stream 2 and a loss of pressure in Nord Stream 1.
