Russia, Iran criticize Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan

Russia has called the visit of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan “another provocative move” by the Biden Administration to pressure China, while Iran has charged against Washington and pointed out that such a trip violates the Asian giant’s territorial integrity.

“Irresponsible U.S. political temps insult China’s 1.5 billion people. The United States is a provocative state,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, as reported by the TASS news agency.

Thus, she has compared Pelosi’s visit with the official trip of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, to Burma. “Lavrov does not bring provocation, like Pelosi, but cooperation,” he has indicated in his official Telegram profile.
