Cygames showed a new trailer for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising during EVO Japan 2023, highlighting new combat mechanics and improved visuals. It was also confirmed that Siegfried, the hero in black, is the latest addition to the selection of playable characters. Check out the trailer below.
There will also be an online beta test in May for PS4 and PS5. Expect more details, such as playable characters and game modes, in the coming weeks.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a free upgrade for the first game and includes all characters. It also adds new Ultimate Skills, the Dash Attack to follow up quickly, and much more. RPG Mode replaces Story Mode with an “original” saga while retaining the chapters of the first game.
Online play will offer a new lobby system called Lobby Island with mini-games such as Grand Bruise Legends in which players can participate. Battles will support rollback netcode and cross-platform play.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will be released this year for PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
