Rise of the Dragons launches July 27 – That’s Gaming

Mode Games and developer Secret Base today announced a July 27 release date for the upcoming beat ’em up Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons. Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, featuring tag-team combat in a city ravaged by criminal mayhem, breathes new life into the iconic franchise with new roguelite elements and a selection of diverse characters when it comes out on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One , PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4:

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons recalls the classic aesthetic of the series with updated pixel art visuals, sporting updated but faithful appearances for both returning heroes and villains and an immersive soundtrack that gets players ready for the next battle. With unlockable bonuses, customizable difficulty levels and optional permadeath and infinite modes, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a robust revitalization of the series’ signature side-scrolling action. With two-player local co-op, the action quadruples as you and a friend clean up the mean streets of NYC. Online co-op is planned as a post-launch update later this year.
