As VALORANT Champions 2024 enters its final phase in Seoul, South Korea, video game publisher Riot Gameshas announced its VCT OFF///SEASON schedule to keep fans entertained until the start of the new season.
Four tournaments will take place in the competitive circuit Ascensionalong with new competitions of Challengers and the Game Changers World ChampionshipVALORANT’s premier women’s competition. In addition, there will be more than 30 OFF//SEASON events and Riot Games will also launch co-ed tournaments. in the same period.
The four tournaments Ascension will be held during the month of September and the best Challenger teams will fight for a chance to earn a place in their respective international leagues and compete at the highest possible level.
Starting next year, Riot has announced major changes to the promotion system, such as eliminating the fixed two-year duration for Ascend teams and limiting each league to 12 teams. Below is the official schedule for the four Ascension tournaments:
- VCT Ascension AMERICAS (September 9-21)
- VCT Ascension EMEA (August 31-September 15)
- VCT Ascension PACIFIC (September 20 – 29)
- VCT Ascension CHINA (September 11-21)
Following the conclusion of the Ascension, Challenger teams will also feature new tournaments that aim to “bridge the gap between the 2024 and 2025 seasons,” according to Riot Games. In these events, the top Challenger and Premier teams will compete for prizes during the free agency period.
Starting in September, Riot has also unveiled a total of 34 events in the four main regions (Pacific, EMEA, Americas and China). Specifically, VCT Pacific will have a total of 14 events, while EMEA, Americas and China will have eight, ten and two events, respectively. Some OFF///SEASON highlight events are Convergence 2024 (Pacific), Red Bull Home Ground (EMEA), Sentinels Showmatch (Americas) and Ludwig x Tarik Invitational 3 (Americas).
In November, Riot will host the Game Changers Championship at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. The top 10 women’s teams will compete for the championship from November 8-17.
