Academician Răzvan Theodorescu is Adrian Artene’s guest on the ALTCEVA podcast that will be broadcast on Saturday, August 20, starting at 7:00 pm.
Răzvan Theodorescu was born on May 22, 1939 and is a well-known Romanian art historian and politician, full member of the Romanian Academy (since 2000) and its vice-president. He is also a member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists (AOSR) and a member of two academies in South-East Europe: Albanian Academy and Macedonian Academy.
Răzvan Theodorescu is also a laureate of the Herder Prize (1993) and was awarded the National Order “For Merit” in the rank of Commander.
Theodorescu was also the first president of the Romanian Radio and Television immediately after the Revolution, and then worked in the National Audiovisual Council. He was also a senator for the PSD in the 2000-2004 legislature and Minister of Culture.
