Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the Overwatch World Champions Series (OWCS) finals will take place at DreamHack Stockholm. later this year. The tournament will feature the top teams from each region (EMEA, North America, Korea, China and Asia-Japan/Pacific), who will battle it out from November 26-30, 2025.
Of the five days of competition, the first two will take place in a studio. The final three will see the teams face off at the Stockholmsmässan venue in Stockholm, Sweden. The number of participating teams is larger than at last year’s world final, with a total of 12 teams instead of eight.
Three places have been allocated to EMEA, Korea and NA, each based on the results of the mid-season championship. Two are occupied by China and one is available to be contested by Asia Japan/Pacific. The format and qualifying order will be announced closer to the event date. The top teams qualifying for the tournament will be based on the results of OWCS Phase 3, which will feature a regular season, promotion and relegation, and regional playoffs.
Anyone will be able to watch the finals with a standard ticket to DreamHack Stockholm, where they will be able to watch the matches at the venue live, although there will be a limited number of free seats available. As an added bonus, there will be tickets for those who wish to guarantee their seat, with five levels available. These range from one-day seats to VIP passes, which include in-game incentives, fast-track access to player meetings, behind-the-scenes tours and more. The event will also feature simulcasts, watch-parties, details of which will be announced shortly.
