NFT Axie Infinity: Origins makes its debut on the App Store

Sky MavisAxie Infinity, the publisher of Axie Infinity, said on Wednesday that its F2P game Origins, launched last year, is now available on the application store of the giant Apple in several regions of the world.

Axie Infinity: Origins is now available in a dozen countries in Asia and South America, including Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Indonesia and Malaysia.

In December, we launched a feature-limited version of Origins on the Malaysian Google PlayStore. This gave our team the opportunity to test and improve the game before expanding to other countries. Today, we’ve taken a similar approach with the App Store,” explained Sky Mavis, hinting that the game will soon arrive in the App Store in other countries.

The Vietnamese startup, which was undergoing one of the biggest crypto hacks of history last spring with the hacking of its Ronin bridge, believes that the arrival of its new free to play entertainment and NFT-based on the App store will boost its adoption. “Keep in mind that 70% of community members discover Axie through a Friend or family memberso it is important for the growth of our movement that Axie is as shareable as possible,” she wrote.

Earlier this year, her bridge Ronin adopted a delegated proof-of-stake mechanism and opened up to new gaming studios.

Axie Infinity’s native token price jumped following the game’s listing. Over 24 hours, AXS is up nearly 10% to about $7.5, at the time of publishing this article.
