MotoGP eSport Championship returns for its ninth season

MotoGP eSport Championship is back for its ninth season with a revamped format that combines live and online competitions. The new season will run from July to November, with the final, which will take place at Milan Games Week, crowning the ultimate champion.

Starting in July, players will compete in four online challenges to determine the 30 players – 30 from Europe and 30 from the rest of the world – who will earn a spot in the Pro Draft. The first online challenge will be determined by a vote in which fans will be able to decide which track and driver combination will be used. In addition, players who post a time during any of the four online challenges will be entered into a draw to win tickets to selected MotoGP races taking place throughout the remainder of 2025.

In the Pro Draft, each MotoGP team will choose a player to represent them in the Global Series, which consists of three races and runs from September through November. Two of the three rounds of the Global Series will be held online, while the third will take place at Milan Games Week, where the winner of the MotoGP eSport Championship will be crowned.

Last year’s championship was won by Jack “Jack Hammer4658” Hammersly, who also went on to win the 2023 title. Entering the 2025 season as a two-time world champion, Hammersly has the opportunity to become one of the most successful MotoGP eSports players in history.
