NetherRealm Studios has announced that the first Kombat Closet of Mortal Kombat 1 will air on July 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. CT. It will include gameplay analysis for Scorpion and Johnny Cage, a “discussion” on Kameo fighters, and more.
Series co-creator Ed Boon confirmed earlier this week that another gameplay trailer is coming soon, revealing additional main and Kameo fighters. This will likely debut during the Kombat Closet, along with new details on Scorpion and Cage. Stay tuned for further information when the stream goes live.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on Sept. 19 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Those who purchase the $109.99 Premium Edition will get access to the full game starting Sept. 14. They will also receive the Kombat Pack with six new characters (reportedly including Ermac, Takeda, Quan-Chi and guest characters such as Homelander and Omni Man) and five new Kameo fighters. All pre-orders will also get access to the beta that will be released in August.
