NetherRealm Studios has announced that the online stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 will take place from June 23, 8:00 a.m. PT, to June 26, 8:00 a.m. PT. Registrations are available here, although a Warner Bros. Games Account is required and access is not guaranteed.
The stress test is only available to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players, and NetherRealm clarified that this is not a beta. “The goal is to intentionally cause stress on our online infrastructure and identify potential issues prior to the game’s launch.” It is also not related to the upcoming beta in August (so pre-orders will not have access to the stress test).
It is also only available to players in North America, Europe, Brazil and Latin America. As for content, you can expect 1-on-1 online matches and a single-player Klassic Towers mode with AI combat (although it is “limited”). Eligible participants will receive invitations on June 21.
Codes can be redeemed before the test begins, but you cannot download the test itself in advance.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on Sept. 19 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
