Although it seems the supercar space is not quite ready to make the leap to all-electric, Mercedes-Benz is preparing for that incoming leap. The German auto giant has now unveiled the futuristic-looking but retro-inspired Vision One-Eleven concept car, which has wing doors and is modeled after the C111 from the 1960s and 1970s.
The car, which features an all-electric powertrain, also offers a collection of futuristic elements, including an interior described as the first sports car to adapt to a lounge concept. It also combines analog and digital technology to create a retro-futuristic pixel look and uses augmented reality to provide a unique user experience.
Since this is currently a concept car, there is no mention of when (if ever) Mercedes-Benz will actually launch the car. But if it never comes to market, it is certainly striking enough to be poster material for the future.
