Much of the talk surrounding this weekend’s Qatar Grand Prix revolved around the ridiculous heat in which the race was held, as well as the fact that Max Verstappen claimed his inevitable third world championship after an indomitable season so far. But one thing that does seem to have been glossed over comes from the incredible record McLaren managed to set.
For where Red Bull is usually the team with the fast pit stops, McLaren managed to set a new world record for a pit stop during this race, with a stop clocking in at just 1.8 seconds. So yep. Very fast.
