Major time differences between Bong Joon-ho’s film and the TNT series: Snowpiercer, explained

A “Snowpiercer” timeline shows that there is some difference between the movie and the TV series. First published in 1989, the French series of graphic novels “Le Transperceneige” by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette was first adapted into a feature film by Oscar-winning director Bong Joon. -ho.

Following the official release of the first “Snowpiercer” in 2013, the popularity of the graphic novel “exploded”, so Titan Comics released an English translation the following year. It consisted of two volumes: “The Escape” and “The Explorers” (which also includes “The Crossing”). A third volume, “Terminus”, was released in 2016, followed by a prequel trilogy in 2019.

Based in part on the 2013 film and graphic novel, the TV series “Snowpiercer” debuted on TNT in May 2020, and represents a revival of this concept.
