LVP produces Play In Ascension, VALORANT’s new European competition

LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO) will be in charge of the production of Play In Ascension, a new competition of VALORANT which will give a last chance to some teams from the regional leagues of EMEA to fight for entry into VCT EMEA.

The champions of the summer VALORANT Challengers are assured a place in the Ascension, the competition that connects to the VCT EMEA. However, the losers of those matches, i.e. the runners-up of each of the VALORANT Challengers, will also have the chance to fight to reach the top European competition through the Play In Ascension.

The new VALORANT competition will therefore feature the nine finalists from Rising (Spain), Revolution (France), Birlik (Turkey), Evolution (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), Surge (Eastern Europe), Rinascimento (Italy), Tempest (Portugal), Resilience (MENA) and Polaris (Northern Europe). These nine teams will be divided into three groups of three participants, playing each other to the best of one victory. The top team in each group automatically qualifies for the semifinals, while the runners-up will play each other until the fourth semifinalist is determined. The group stage will be played in its entirety on June 22, while the matches between the runners-up in each group will be played the following day.

The semi-finals will be played in best of three maps on June 26 and the grand final will be played in best of five maps on June 27. Both the semifinals and the final can be followed live in full on LVP’s Twitch channel. The winner of the Play In Ascension will join the VALORANT Challengers champions in their race to be in VCT EMEA next season.
