NEOWIZ, a leading game developer and publisher in South Korea, today celebrates the anniversary of Pinocchio with the release of two brand new videos that offer a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Lies of P and a unique character analysis of the voice actor. In the first video, Project Director Ji Won Choi and Art Director Chang Kyu Noh guide viewers through what to expect from the story, characters, atmosphere, art style and more that they will discover in the highly anticipated Souls-like game, while the second video features actress Allegra Marland (Elden Ring, The Crown) giving an in-depth analysis of her character Sophia.

In the behind-the-scenes video, Choi and Roh give insight into the careful designs of the cast and game world, their inspirations for making the game, and more in a question-and-answer style. In the video interview with Marland, she gives a detailed look at Sophia and how she helped bring the mysterious character to life. Sophia is unique in that she gained time-manipulation skills after awakening Ergo’s true powers, and Marland describes some of her favorite phrases and how she sees the character in the context of the story.

Inspired by the famous story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action-packed Souls-like game set in the dark Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has turned into a living nightmare where deadly dolls run free and a plague plagues the land. Play as P, a doll who must fight his way through the city on his inexorable journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world full of suspense, in-depth battles and character customization systems, and a compelling story with interesting story choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world full of lies, no one can be trusted….

Lies of P is scheduled for release by NEOWIZ on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam in 2023.
