Lidl will introduce in the store offer, starting next Thursday, a cooking appliance that uses the sous-vide technique.
This is a method in which food is packaged (preferably in a vacuum) in a bag and then cooked in a water bath at a low, controlled and accurate temperature. These appliances allow you to cook healthier, low-fat foods.
Another advantage is that the tastes and smells cannot escape from the bags and the water cannot penetrate inside. The food does not boil, and the vegetables and meat remain tender and full of nutrients.

The cooker offered by Lidl is a Silvercrest Kitchen Tools brand and will cost 349 lei. The device has a power of 1,000 W, allows the exact setting of the temperature by electronic regulation (in the range of 30 – 95 degrees Celsius, in steps of 0.1 degrees Celsius) and water circulation. The device has a timer that can be set up to a maximum of 99 hours and 59 minutes in 1 minute steps. The device can be used in any heat-resistant glass or metal container.

The information is displayed on an LED display, and the device comes with a 1.5 meter long cable. The Lidl sous vide vacuum cooker measures 8.55 x 39 x 13 cm. The product will have a 3-year warranty.
Using the device is not at all complicated. The steps are:
1. Food is placed in a vacuum bag. Lidl also sells a vacuum cleaner during this period, at a price of 249 lei.
2. The temperature and cooking time are set.
3. The food bag is immersed in water.
