Honda has set its sights on Europe: what electric models to launch

Honda will complete the electrification of its range in Europe with the launch of the new Civic Hybrid in the fall, followed in 2023 by a small all-electric SUV, a compact hybrid SUV and a new CR-V SUV with a plug-in hybrid.

The new Civic compact hatchback, called Civic e: HEV, will only be sold as a hybrid. Its all-hybrid propulsion system combines a lithium-ion battery with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. It will replace the current Civic which is powered by turbo petrol engines.

Honda estimates that the hybrid will have CO2 emissions below 110 grams per km in WLTP testing.

The car is the 11th generation of the Civic product line and is a version of the model already on sale in the US and Japan.
