Harvey Weinstein movie subject: when you can see She Said

Universal Pictures on Thursday released the trailer for She Said, the film that stars Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan as New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor – the people who wrote the now-infamous article about the true nature of Harvey Weinstein.

The scandal of that time marked the beginning of the end for Oscar-winning producer Weinstein and brought him undeniably to justice for his actions. He was accused of sexual assault, and this event gave birth to the notorious #MeToo movement, both in Hollywood and around the world.

The film is directed by Maria Schrader (also known for Unorthodox), from an original screenplay written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. The film is set for theatrical release on November 18, 2022.

She Said is based on the New York Time bestseller She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement, which chronicles how journalists Twohey and Kantor built one of the most important stories of a generation, helping to shatter decades of silence on the abuse of women and beyond.

Brad Pitt gave ‘a helping hand’ to the film She Said

In She Said, we can also see Tom Pelphrey, Patricia Clarkson, Andre Braugher and Samantha Morton, among many other more or less familiar names.
