Gwyneth Paltrow has been known to be quite the odd duck at times. This is no dig at dear Gwyneth, mind you, just when she has created a vagina-scented candle and started a company called Goop, you know she has her own way of doing things.
Kids today may only know her as the Goop great, but Gwyneth is also an Oscar-winning actress, taking home the best actress award for Shakespeare in Love, a controversial film because it wins awards without really earning the prestige to do so.
At any rate, Paltrow does not seem to hold her Oscar in high regard. In an interview with Vogue, she reveals that the award acts as a doorstop. “It works perfectly!” she says.
Because it’s her award, no one can really decide what to do with it except her. To some, this is an insult to the prestige of the Oscars, but to others (including this editor) it’s just really funny.
