Guardian Games launches today in Destiny 2 – That’s Gaming

Destiny 2’s annual free in-game event Guardian Games kicked off today and lasts until the end of Season of Defiant on May 23. Also returning today is the Guardian Games Cup, a competition where players have a chance to win fantastic prizes and raise money for charity.

Guardian Games 2023The Guardian Games is a friendly competition in which players compete for their favorite class (Hunter, Warlock and Titan). During the Guardian Games, players earn medallions for various in-game activities, including a class-based version of the popular PvP mode Supremacy. During the in-game event, players can earn two Guardian Games weapons:

  • Taraxippos – The first Legendary Strand Scout Rifle in the game.
  • The Title – The Void Submachine Gun makes its comeback with updates, including the fan-favorite perk: Repulsor Brace.

A free Guardian Games Event Card is also available to players. By completing challenges on this card, players can earn cosmetic rewards. These include a new Exotic emote, the brand new “Champ” title and additional Triumphs. The Event Card can be upgraded for 1,000 Silver to unlock additional rewards.
