GIANTX presents its women’s team for the VCT Game Changers

The esports club GIANTX presents its team of VCT Game Changersthe women’s world championship of Valorantfor the current year 2024. The starting quintet consists of elite players such as Yağmur Gündüz ‘Smurfette‘, Neslişah Demir ‘Ness‘, Tina Agéli ‘Joliinaa‘, Eylül Sudem Sarıoğlu Eylül Sudem Sarıoğlu ‘Miyori‘ and Sara Ahmed ‘Sarah‘. Lidia del Moral ‘Didii‘, one of the best in Spain, is the sixth member of the roster. This group is directed by Antonio Lozano ‘Aska‘, recognized technician of the national scene of the ‘shooter’ of Riot Games. GIANTX debuts today Friday vs. BBL Queens at 17:00 (Spanish time) in what will be the opening match of the tournament.

Riot Games launched the Game Changers circuit in 2021 with the goal to “create new opportunities and empower the exposure of women and other marginalized genders” in esports. This program has won in prestige and professionalizationand is currently made up of the most relevant Valorant organizations and players at the international level. GIANTX has Game Changers experienceas it has been represented in previous editions.

Now, GIANTX’s Valorant women’s team, which is supported by the British telephone and internet operator USAis set to compete against the best of the moment and aspire to the highest heights. The giants are part of the EMEA region, which includes organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. G2 Gozen, BBL Queens, Neon Blade, NASR Ignite, VALIANT GC, Team Falcons Vega, MAD Lions KOI, Karmine Corp and FOKUS Sakura complete the list of participants along with GIANTX.

In order to qualify for the VCT Game Changers, GIANTX had to pass a qualifier. Once in, the calendar foresees three campaigns. In each campaign, the aim is to remain part of the main circuit in the following one. The main objective, of course, is to go to the World Cup which takes place at the end of the year. G2 Gozen won the first Valorant Women’s World Championship in Berlin. The following year, in Sao Paulo, she was crowned champion. Shopify Rebellion.

As for the female players, Yağmur Gündüz ‘Smurfette‘ (Turkey) is a Duelist. She comes from FUT, has managed to be season runner-up and has been in Worlds. Neslişah Demir ‘Ness‘ (Turkey) acts as a sentinel. He shares achievements with Smurfette, as they coincided in Guild and FUT, now they will do it in GIANTX. Tina Agéli ‘ (Turkey)Joliinaa‘ (Sweden) is a ‘smoker’ and comes from Acend, with whom he has achieved success in the region. Eylül Sudem Sarıoğlu ‘Miyori‘ (Turkey) is ‘flex’ and comes from NaVi, a historical organization in e-sports. Sarah Ahmed ‘Sarah‘ (UK), also ‘flex’, comes from winning titles and going far in a World Cup with G2 Gozen.

Antonio Lozano ‘Aska(Spain) has a long career as a coach in clubs such as KOI and UCAM. After coaching Acend’s women’s team, he now coaches GIANTX’s Game Changers project. The other Spaniard on the roster is Lidia del Moral ‘DidiiShe is the sixth player and will be waiting on the bench. With Rebels Velvet she had great performances in Game Changers and played in the Rising, the national championship made up of men’s teams at the time.

GIANTX has been a pioneer in the esports world when it comes to create women’s teams and this roster continues the legacy we started in League of Legends and Counter Strike. In addition to being present in Game ChangersGIANTX also competes in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT)which, together with the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) are both major international esports competitions.
