Garena has presented the Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational 2025the first inter-regional esports tournament in which Indian teams will compete. The invitational tournament will take place in December and will feature teams from seven regions. Garena has not yet revealed the exact schedule or format of the event. However, the company has confirmed that the regions that will be part of the event are. Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam and India.
They will compete a total of 26 teams. These teams have been invited directly to the tournament. Although the full roster has not yet been officially confirmed, the announcement showed many logos of the participating organizations. Among them were GodLike Esports, S8UL, Falcons, Total Gaming, Head Hunters, P Esports, DRS, Bigetron x Vitality, Revenant XSpark and many more.
Although little is known about the tournament, Free Fire Gaming Indian commentator Aura revealed some details in a YouTube video about the tournament. According to him, the total prize pool will be $50,000. In addition, the tournament will feature Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes. He also added that this tournament is an opportunity for Indian teams to compete against international teams ahead of a broader roadmap in 2026.
This comes after Indian Free Fire fans were disappointed that the region did not get any slots in the recently concluded Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2025 Global Finals.
