Game of the year-nominated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on Jan. 23, 2025 – That’s Gaming

During the Game Awards 2024 show, Square Enix announced that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will be released for PC on Jan. 23, 2025. Pre-orders are available now on Steam and in the Epic Games Store.

The PC version introduces new features and tweaks that take full advantage of the platform’s power:

RELATED – Lighting has been updated and the overall rendering of light has been significantly improved. Updated areas and movies are presented more beautifully and brightly than ever.

FRAME RATE AND RESOLUTION – Thanks to support for NVIDIA DLSS, frame rates and image quality can be improved. There is now also support for variable refresh rates (VRR).

TEXTURES – The Level of Detail (LoD) for background models and the MIP maps for background textures are both configurable in the options. This means that players can set the density of background polygons and textures higher than previously possible, allowing them to play the game with higher quality graphics.

PC SPECS

CONTROLLER SUPPORT
When players connect a DualSense® controller to PC, they can use the same controls as in the PS5 version. In addition, mouse and keyboard support has been added, in addition to the option to freely switch controls between exploration and combat or mini-games.

STEAM DECK – The Steam version can also be played on the Steam Deck.

Players can FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH for PC pre-order via Steam or the Epic Games Store and temporarily take advantage of an Early Bird discount of up to 30%* for all editions. Players who pre-order the game will also receive the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, giving them access to a mighty summon for their first steps on this exciting journey.
