Long the subject of rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S23 Plus spec list was published just after Samsung’s presentation flyer, leaving few surprises for the launch event scheduled for February 1.
Taken from Samsung France’s website, the Galaxy S23 spec lists largely confirm the rumours circulated so far, touching on many of the key aspects.
Thus, we learn that the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a 200MP camera based on an optical sensor with performance optimized by Samsung for outstanding low-light results. The repertoire is completed with a 10X optical zoom Periscope camera, also assisted with optical image stabilization function.
Capable of taking 50MP resolution photos even in low light, the included camera for the S23 and S23 Plus series is backed up by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP front camera. But the piece de resistance will certainly be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, delivered in an “overclock” version, with a slightly higher performance than we can find in the latest phone models equipped with the new Qualcomm solution.
Apparently none of the Galaxy S23 versions will include a microSD slot for adding internal memory, but at least offer dual-SIM connectivity plus eSIM support. Predictably, the list of absent features includes a 3.5mm jack output, as Samsung has long had wireless headphones capable of at least as good audio fidelity without the hassle of analogue connections.
According to information obtained from retailers in Germany, buyers in the region will be able to get the S23 equipped with 256GB internal memory directly, at the price of the 128GB one. In addition, those who choose the Plus or Ultra trim will only have to pay “the price of the lower trim”, according to the same rumoured source.
