FTX: Sam Bankman-Fried is hiding in the Bahamas, not Argentina, according to Reuters

Despite rumors that Sam Bankman-Fried was in Argentina, Reuters claims that he is in the Bahamas following information from Sam Bankman-Fried himself.

Reuters says it has received confirmation from FTX’s own CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried, that he is in the Bahamas and not Argentina, as recent rumors have claimed. With a simple “nope“, the businessman dismissed the rumors that were making the rounds on Twitter.

A few hours ago, several flight tracking agencies reported that flight LV-KEB, from Nassau City to Argentina, was the most watched flight in the world at the time. At the time, it was believed that Bankman-Fried was inside, leading to speculation that the former stock market CEO was fleeing to the Falkland Islands to escape justice.

All the fuss is about the possibility of a leak from the FTX CEO, due to the implosion of the stock market in recent days, which has resulted in the loss of at least $8 billion belonging to companies and users. Rumors have invaded social networks after $600 million was stolen from the stock market in the early hours of this morning by a suspected hacker.
