Garena has announced an important news for the competitive Free Fire, and it is that the battle royale is preparing for to participate in the Esports World Cup which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this summer.
In collaboration with the EWC Foundation, Free Fire aims to deliver an unparalleled esports experience to fans around the worldleveraging its huge global presence and popularity as one of the most downloaded mobile battle royale games.
The Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be held between July 10-14 and will feature 18 elite teams. who will compete for a prize to be shared of $1M. Participants will be selected from five local Free Fire tournaments and the ESL Free Fire Snapdragon Pro Series, and will face off in heated elimination battles over the first three days, before the top 12 teams advance to the grand finals.
While the winner of this competition will take home a huge cash prize, the stakes are even higher because. the champion will win a coveted ticket to compete in Free Fire’s flagship tournament, the 2024 World Finals of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS).. It will be held in Brazil in November.
