The head of the Sloviansk Military-Civil Administration, Vadim Liaj, has pointed out through his account on the social network Facebook that Russian forces have shelled areas in the center of the city, hitting several houses.

“The result of the shelling is four dead and two wounded,” he noted, before adding that a twelve-year-old boy is in critical condition.

The attacks have taken place against the backdrop of a series of shelling by Russian forces on Ukrainian cities, including the capital. Ukrainian authorities have so far not provided a casualty toll from the attacks on Kiev.
