The Nike Cortez is making a return in its Forrest Gump style. It is set for release in the summer of 2024, marking the 30th anniversary of the classic film.
Forrest Gump is probably known for two things, talking about chocolates and running. For the latter, he needed some very durable shoes and so when he got a white pair of Nike Cortez with a red checkmark and a blue line at the heel, it was inevitable that the shoe would become almost as iconic as the character.
The Nike Cortez is available in a wide range of colors, but the Forrest Gump style has been out of production for some time. The shoe will cost you about £90 when it is back in stock, which is not as expensive as some trainers, but certainly still a pretty high price for a pair of shoes.
Thanks, GQ.
