Folie à Deux accompanying album

We are getting closer and closer to the debut of Joker: Folie à Deux, the anticipated sequel to Todd Phillips’ acclaimed 2019 film. A slew of reviews have already been shared about the film, many of which do not exactly outline a promising sequel, but we will have to see if this affects ticket sales for the film, which will undoubtedly aim for a similar revenue goal as the original that exceeded $1 billion.

One thing we do know for sure about Joker: Folie à Deux is that the film is a musical with several musical numbers scattered throughout. These are performed by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, who shines in this film as Lee Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn. Speaking of Gaga’s role, the iconic pop star is also planning to release a companion album for the film, which will be known as Harlequin and will apparently feature 13 songs.

The album will be launched on Sept. 27, and the accompanying milk carton image from the announcement post seems to suggest that the 13 songs will be listed as such:

• Becoming Happy (2024)
• Oh, when the saints
• World on a string
• If my friends could see me now
• That’s entertainment
• Smile
• The joker
• Folie à Deux
• I’m going to build a mountain
• Near you
• Happy mistake
• Such is life
