FlyQuest has announced that it will conduct a charity campaign during League of Legends Worlds, in which the reigning champion, T1. The two esports organizations will make donations to two selected non-profit organizations during the tournament to be held in China.
FlyQuest has explained that $5 will be donated for every minute played by either team. For example, if T1 plays 595 minutes during the World Cup, FlyQuest will donate $2795 to the chosen charity. In addition, for every 10,000 supporters FlyQuest gains, an extra $1 will be added to the fee.
FlyQuest has decided to send the funds to the Alveus Sanctuary, a wildlife sanctuary founded by streamer Maya Higa that also offers online conservation education. A donation will also be made to T1’s chosen charity, to be “announced soon,” the amount of which will be tied to the team’s performance, which is expected to be high given that it is the reigning 2024 World Cup champion.
The League of Legends Worlds 2025 is the premier event in the MOBA eSports scene, with the best teams from around the world competing to be crowned number one.
