Fiat is collaborating with Disney to mark the entertainment giant’s 100th anniversary. The collaboration has led to the creation of five unique versions of the Topolino electric car, each with a color scheme based on Mickey Mouse.
Some of the Topolino designs are more abstract and present Mickey Mouse in that light, while others seem to reflect important parts of the animated mouse’s history. An example of such a design reflects Mickey’s Steamboat Willie era.
Unveiled in Turin, the collaboration was created not only to celebrate Disney’s centennial, but also to mark the centennial of Fiat’s former Lingotto factory, which also celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Fiat also notes that Mickey motivated the name of its Topolino cars when they were first made in the 1930s.
