ESL FACEIT Group unveils details of ESL Impact Season 6

The esports tournament organizer, ESL FACEIT Group (EFG)has unveiled the details of the Season 6 of ESL Impact, its women’s Counter-Strike circuit.. Teams from Europe, North America and South America will compete from the August 28 to November 24, 2024.

The 28 teams participating in ESL Impact Season 6 will compete for a share of the $150,000 in prize money and a spot in the world finals which will take place at DreamHack Stockholm in November. Each of the three participating regions will be divided into groups, and the first place finisher will earn one of eight spots in the global finals.

Several esports organizations have submitted teams for this season, including FURIA, Astralis and reigning champion Imperial. The upcoming season is the third to take place in Counter-Strike 2 following its launch in September 2023.

Launching in 2022, ESL Impact is part of the initiative. EFG’s #GGFORALLwhose objective is to crear safe spaces for women and marginalized genders to enjoy video games and e-sports.. In collaboration with DHLthe initiative joined forces with the non-profit e-sports organization Para Esports, inviting them to IEM Cologne in August.

The trend toward creating all-female esports ecosystems shows no signs of slowing down. April, Gonna Need Milk launched a North American Fortnite series, and in July, the MLBB Women’s Invitational garnered more than 250,000 viewers, making it the fourth most-watched event in the history of women’s esports. ESL Impact remains one of the largest all-female esports tournament circuits in the world. Despite this, viewership remains low compared to other circuits.
