Queen Elizabeth II will not attend this Saturday a festival in Scotland to which she usually attends, fueling speculation about a possible worsening of her health, weighed down since last year by mobility problems.
The 96-year-old queen is at her Balmoral residence and the Braemar Gathering games will be attended instead by the heir to the crown, Prince Charles, according to the BBC.
The change is in addition to others known recently as the decision to receive the future prime minister at Balmoral instead of Buckingham Palace in London, something unprecedented in his more than seven decades of reign.
