DNSC invites Romanian cyber start-ups to the “Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference”

The National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) is organising in Bucharest, on 27-28 October 2022, for the first time, the event “Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference”.

The event to be held at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel is a continuation of the #CERTCON conference series, which we believe has had a significant impact on the cybersecurity field in Romania.

The #CERTCON conference series brought together cybersecurity experts, government officials and policy makers, as well as representatives of private companies from different fields and industries, NGOs and academia. The #CERTCON events have addressed, in an international format, highly topical issues such as 5G, cybercrime and European regulation, including challenges in the field.

The first edition of Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference we would like to dedicate to those involved in the cybersecurity field in Romania, in order to strengthen relations and interactions between all stakeholders in this field. The event will create a generous framework for national introspection of the cybersecurity environment and identification of innovative solutions. Discussions will bring together entities from the public, private and academic sectors.

The agenda is organised around three pillars, namely “Creating a national framework for training and motivating human resources” (P1), “Resilience, emerging technologies and threats”(P2) and “Cybersecurity policies”(P3).

Conference proceedings will be conducted in English.

In this context, there will be a panel on “Successful Romanian models in cybersecurity: challenges and capabilities – (P2), which intends to promote Romanian start-ups that have distinguished themselves in the field of cyber security.

The panel will have presentations in a “Pitch” format, with the aim of presenting the most interesting developments in the field succeeded by Romanian start-ups, as well as holding discussions to share best practices that have ensured success.
