Publisher Wired Productions and developer Just Add Water have announced that DIG VR will be released for Steam VR and PS VR2 on March 20, 2025. Following rave reviews of Meta Quest, where the game was praised for its accessible sim gameplay, humor and compelling soundtrack, PC and PlayStation VR players can now have the experience many have been asking for.
In DIG VR players crawl behind the controls of an excavator and experience the joy, adrenaline and challenges of working with heavy equipment. You start with nothing more than a mini-digger and a dream, but as you progress, you earn the keys to increasingly larger excavators with a wide range of attachments. From digging and dredging to demolition and construction, this VR experience offers an in-depth and satisfying simulation for newcomers and experienced machinists alike.
Players are given a choice between realistic or simplified controls, allowing DIG VR is accessible to all. The game includes a full career mode that appeals to both more serious simulation players and casual gamers. Up to four different excavators of various sizes can be controlled, with as many as seven unique attachments, including a shovel bucket, demolition hammer, circular saw, drill, trimmer, compactor and grapple. In addition, players can fully personalize their excavator with more than 70 customization options, from stickers and skins to different paint colors.
For those looking to relax for a while, there are quirky mini-games and a zen sandbox mode, where players can freely experiment with the first dynamically excavatable VR environment. Into the ground DIG VR can actually be excavated, moved and dumped, adding an extra layer of realism to the experience.
Looking for a unique VR simulation? DIG VR is available now on Meta Quest and will be released on March 20, 2025 for Steam VR and PS VR2. Put the game on your Steam Wishlist now and prepare for an immersive digging experience!
