Mobile Global Esports Inc. is an Indian company known for organizing esports tournaments focused on the country’s universities. In addition, the company is behind the University National Esports Championship, a prominent event in the Indian e-sports market.
MOGO is currently listed on NASDAQ, but the company’s shares trade at around $0.55. Due to NASDAQ rules, the company risks being delisted if the stock price does not rise above $1.
Despite its listing, MOGO has made interesting moves in 2023. The company appointed Nick Venezia, known for his work with Activision, as its Chief Data Officer in early 2023, and signed a Letter of Intent to acquire technology from OrionWaves, a company owned by former Microsoft CEO Nils Lahr.
Now that universities are recognizing the potential for careers in all facets of eSports, from production to networking, from broadcasting to talent management, from league operations to business development, I am pleased to lend my expertise to MOGO in our effort to create a holistic and comprehensive college tournament infrastructure for the Indian market, with the support of the universities themselves.
