Destiny 2‘s newest dungeon is called Ghosts of the Deep and is available starting today. It is the first dungeon in the year of Lightfall. In the new content, players are challenged to descend to the depths of the sea of methane on the planet Titan. Here they will battle the Lucent Hive and search for what was lost in the waves.
Ghosts of the Deep
New treasures await players brave enough to dive into the deep, including a new armor set and a new Strand Exotic Trace Rifle. The new title, Ghoul, can also be unlocked. Guardians who complete Ghosts of the Deep before Aug. 22 can purchase a Dungeon Pin and Hoodie from the Bungie Store through Bungie Rewards.
Players will gain immediate access to the new dungeon by purchasing the Lightfall Dungeon Key for 2,000 Silver or getting the Lightfall + Annual Pass edition (which is a full year’s Destiny 2-content included). The new season called Season of the Deep launched this week and brings Guardians back to Titan to help an old friend and investigate something big beneath the waves. Players can start the season fresh with new story missions, the Salvage season activity, the new fishing activity and much more. More info on Season of the Deep can be found here.
Bungie also announced that the next Destiny Showcase will take place on Aug. 22, 2023, and that in Destiny 2: The Final Shape Nathan Fillion returns as Cayde-6. Finally, Bungie revealed Marathon, a PvP-focused sci-fi-extraction shooter and the studio’s first all-new project in more than a decade.
