ChatGPT becomes even more powerful thanks to plugins and searches the internet for you

Later this week, the popular and well-known AI bot ChatGPT will receive new functions if you take out a Plus subscription to the service for $20.

With the ChatGPT Plus subscription, the AI ​​bot can now search the internet and thus also process data after 2021, more than 70 plugins are available for the chatbot.

Plugins from major services are available to choose from

OpenAI provides the following information about the plugins: Plugin developers invited from our waiting list can use our documentation to create a plugin for ChatGPT.

The first plugins for ChatGPT come from Expedia and Slack, among others. The former could facilitate the AI-supported search for suitable travel accommodation, while the latter could offer a function for merging longer messages or chats.

This is how you activate the new functions

In order to activate the new functions, you have to access the chatbot via the Internet and, according to OpenAI, follow the steps below:

• Click Profile and Settings
• Choose the sub-item Beta Features
• Activate the features you want to test

ChatGPT Plus has been available on a subscription plan since February 2023, priced at $20 per month. OpenAI cites access to ChatGPT even at peak times, faster response times and preferential access to new functions and improvements as advantages of the subscription service.
